Game Keys For Act 2 Owners Upon Release

TL;DR

-Launching on a new game page on March 23, 2022

-$20 for full game

-All who bought Act 2 will get a key in their mail

Dear weary travelers:

Chronicles of Tal'Dun: The Remainder will be moved to a fresh game page for its launch on March 23, 2022.

Everyone who supported us by buying Act 2 will receive a free game key in their mail on launch day.
Please be sure to check your junk/spam folder.

Ko-Fi supporters will receive their keys in the email associated with their ko-fi account.

The old game page which hosted the free Act 1 and Act 2 will remain online. You can still play Act 1 for free.

Due to our inexperience with launching games on itch, this is slightly less elegant than we'd like it to be, but it's the best we can manage.

Hey i own act 1 and 2 on steam and was wondering if i would have to purchase the full release as in is act 1 and 2 both the full game but in 2 separate parts or does the full release have more

Just so i know im not repurchasing the same content lol

Also i seen your previous comments about a discount which i dont seem to be getting.

I dont mind purchasing the full release but was also wondering if i do is there anyway i can transfer saves over from act 1 etc

Hey there. The full game has quite a bit more content than act  1 and 2 combined. A lot of act 1 and 2 content has been re-written and edited, and the entire game is structured differently, so I would not recommend trying to transfer any saves.  It'd be more enjoyable to experience it again as a new thing.

Steam used to give us devs the option to give discounts to people who already own another game, but they changed it shortly before we released the full game, so we could no longer do that. We wrote an apology post to our players at the time. We gave everyone a free fan pack, which has the OST and wallpapers, and some short stories from the same world.

So I hope this answers your questions and make you feel better about the situation, let us know what you think!

Hi! Congrats on the release, I've been eagerly waiting to tackle the full game <3 Quick question, I own Act 2 on Steam, am I going to get a key as well or do I need to repurchase the full game?

Owners of the Act2 should get a 50% discount since act2 on steam was priced $10 on steam instead of $20 here. Do you not see the discount? :o

I do not, it just shows the regular 10% discount. I don't think regional pricing affects that, but I don't know anyone who owns it on Steam to check ^^;

Heya! I found out what happened and it was a bit of a wtf moment for me. So apparently, while we were prepping  the full game, Steam changed it’s policies about giving dicount codes and now only games that sell really well have an option to do that. We can’t give the refund either unless it’s less than 14 days since purchase and less than 2 hours of playtime. So we sent a free fan pack and a message to everybody who owns it as an apology. This one is totally out of our hands. >_<

Oh no! What a jerk move, Steam :/ Thanks for looking into it, and for the blazing fast replies! Looking forward to playing the game <3

You’re welcome and I hope you enjoy the game! ^^
